Residential Dance Weekend
Our Residential Weekend Away.
In 2012 we return to the Royal Hotel in Woolacombe on 24th, 25th and 26th February. We will be joined by Jovial Crew as our resident band, and our two regular Callers, Jane Thomas and Ted Farmer. Jovial Crew are Brian and Rosie McMinn and Mike Green. Stephenie will join them if her studies allow. Together, they produce a fabulous sound that has pleased dancers at festivals and dance halls across the country.
Booking forms are now available, just click on the booking form tab at the bottom of this page, and you can read all about it, and print off a booking form. Please send completed forms together with your deposit to Barbara Farmer at the address on the form, or hand it in at any club event.
The committee organise the event for the benefit of dancers who support the club through the many events they put on through the year. It is not a profit making event, and we keep the cost as low as we dare. The planning and organising that goes on behind the scenes is done by volunteers, not that you would know it, as this residential weekend can stand up as one of the finest.
We are always pleased to have new dancers support the Willand Folk Dance Club, so if your first visit is to this event, we will be most pleased to see you.
The weekend is very popular and fills up quickly. Please book early to avoid disappointment. We shall make every effort to insure you have a grand time.
