Hello! Fellow Folk Dancers,

We will be soon begin the 2025-2026 dancing season and we have a fantastic programme arranged for both Club Nights and Saturday Dances. Check out our programme for 2025-2026. We are sure you will all enjoy dancing to the selection.

In view of the sometimes unpredictable weather conditions when it is not always advisable to travel, as we have experienced in the past 12 months, we will be making the decision to cancel an event at short notice, so we please ask that you consult the website to see what has been decided or ring any member of the Committee.

PLEASE ALSO NOTE THAT THE MAY 2026 IS ON THE SECOND SATURDAY OF THE MONTH AND NOT THE FIRST SAATURDAY.

We are sure most of you appreciate that we may sometimes have to re-arrange Bands and Callers, so please check the Website for updates before you travel or ring Marilyn on 07746 038754. We will look forward to seeing as many of you as feel able to come.

We are also sure all those of you who have supported us in the past know that we are a very happy and social group of enthusiastic dancers who really enjoy our dancing. We are a high energy club who love to dance, and the choice of bands and callers we hope will provide the music and the challenge to do just that. We feel our dance club is unique, as it is run and organised by a committee of dancers, providing a full independent program of events for eleven months of the year. We are always pleased to see new faces and will be happy to show you the different moves (they are not difficult) so that you can enjoy our type of dancing as much as the rest of us. You do not necessarily need a partner – so why not come along and try it out. You will definitely leave with a smile on your face !!

In any year you will find twelve dances with selected bands and callers from around the country as well as those on our doorstep, plus a full club night programme from September to June, a residential dancing weekend in February, and a New Year’s Eve dance. We also have our own music group called The More The Merrier.

Our aim is to offer an opportunity to new members at all levels, whether you wish to enjoy dancing, playing an instrument, or trying your hand at calling a dance.

So, whether you live in Devon, or just visiting the area on holiday, you can be assured of a warm welcome at any of our events. Details and booking forms for our residential weekend at Torquay in February next year will be available on the website in September.
