THE WILLAND FOLK DANCE CLUB RESIDENTIAL WEEKEND

The Best Western Livermead Cliff Hotel at Torquay will again welcome us for our 2027 Residential Weekend. There is ample free parking on site, and it is a level walk to Torquay town centre. There is also a frequent bus service from outside the hotel into Torquay, Paignton and Brixham. The Hotel has its own private beach accessed by private steps.
For 2027 we welcome back the ever-popular Caller – Frances Oates and also making a return visit our Band will be Stradavarious. Both Caller and Band are well known for preforming at Festivals up and down the country.
The cost of the weekend will be £205., per person for double rooms and those wishing to share a twin-bedded room, £215, for a single room and £235., for a single person in a double room. These prices include dinner, bed and breakfast for two nights and a two-course lunch on the Sunday. An administration fee of £3.00 per person will be charged for non-members. Dancers wishing to stay the Sunday Night should make their own arrangements with the Hotel. Please see details below.
Admission to all the Dances and Workshops is included within the price, as is tea and coffee served during the morning workshops intervals and a farewell tea or coffee on the Sunday afternoon. A non-refundable £30., deposit per person is required by the 10th of December 2026, and the balance should be paid by the 6th of February 2027. Booking forms with payment may be handed in at any Club event, posted with cheque made payable to Willand Folk Dance Club, or emailed stating when your payment has been made by BACS, to the Booking Secretary – Salliann Martin. An acknowledgement of your booking will be sent by email, however if you require an official receipt please enclose a stamped addressed envelope with your booking form.
If you are unable to keep your booking, please let Salliann know as soon as possible as we may be able to offer your place to someone else. Willand Folk Dance Club and individual personnel of the organising committee cannot accept any financial responsibility in the event of matters outside their control, the livered Hotel being unable to adhere to their contract. Please make your own arrangements for holiday insurance cover as there is none included.
Rooms must be vacated by 11.00am on the morning of your departure and please ensure that room keys are returned to reception and settle any room bills.
Evening dress is optional on the Saturday evening.
Once again, we will be running our Charity Raffle and proceeds will go to the Neonatal Unit for premature babies, at the RD & E Hospital in Exeter. If you would like to donate a raffle prize it will be greatly appreciated.
